One week ago a tropical cyclone known as "Hurricane Sandy" hit NYC (As well as the Caribbean, Mid- Atlantic, North Eastern United States, and Eastern Canada) hard. While some areas of our wonderful city remained barely affected, not everyone was so lucky. Redhook in Brooklyn, Far Rockaway in queens, and Staten Island were devastated by the storm and is unfortunately still recovering power and order.
If you reside in any of the areas mentioned or anywhere else that was impacted by the storm the city is offering assistance to individuals, families, and even small businesses in need.
